The Indian film industry, firmly name as “Bollywood” has significantly influenced the Indian culture. The biggest film industry in the world for creating various types of movies including Action, Comedy, drama along with the music. Bollywood has an amazing fan base and an incredible mass appeal. Bollywood have been affecting the common lives of Indian.

Bollywood has a rich history of more than 100 years of serving entertainment. The first Indian film “Raja Harishchandra” which was released in 1913.  The Indian Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai (formerly Bombay). Bollywood lives in Mumbai, making it a land of dreams and destinies. Many foreigners and outsiders from all over the world come to the city to test their luck in the Indian Film industry.

Bollywood is not famous only for movies in the world but it is also famous for outstanding music, Authentic Performances, Great storylines, and Fashion inspiration. Bollywood has songs for nearly every situation from romance, silent songs, remix, etc. The Indian film industry is a total package of entertainment, and you can never see a Bollywood movie without a soundtrack. Bollywood has some renowned actors that give their best in the movies. Films like Swades, A Wednesday had amazing storylines.

Bollywood actors have always been in the news for its unique yet stylish fashion quotient. Many fans take fashion inspiration from these celebrities. Whether it is ethnic wear or western wear, you can always slay the look by taking inspiration from Bollywood.

For Indians, Bollywood is just more than its movies. It’s an emotion that lives within us, it is our form of expression and we certainly love it more than anything in the world. Bollywood releases more than 1000 films per year. That is more than Hollywood movies. Indian films are also famous in countries where large Indian or Pakistani communities, such as the United Kingdom. There are more than 2 lakhs people are working in Hindi cinemas.

Bollywood, the dreamland of our lives. Becoming an actor is not an easy task, it is very difficult to enter the industry without knowing any inside industry. Thousands land up in Mumbai every day to pursue their dreams and thousands return without realizing them. Struggle it’s the same in every field. You can’t make things happen for you in any field unless you really work hard and in the proper direction. The film industry works on Word of mouth you must have good rappo with reference to your good work. There are so many big stars who have struggled and established big names in the industry. It includes Shahrukh Khan (The King of romance), Amitabh Bachchan (The angry young Man), Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui. During this lockdown, theatres are shut down so most of the movies are released on OTT platforms like Amazon, Netflix, and Hotstar, etc. Peoples are giving good responses to the OTT platforms as well.

The prestigious award in the world film industry is Oscar.  Although India sends an official entry to the Oscars every year, no Indian film has won under the best foreign film category. There are few Indians including A R Rehman for Music, Bhanu Athaiya for Best costume design in the film Gandhi, Satyajit Ray Received lifetime award for his finest work in Indian and Bengali cinemas. Rasul Pookutty for a sound designer, sound editor, and mixer in Slumdog Millionaire movie.
