There are many religions and cultures followed in India, but the only thing that unites the nation is Cricket. When players are playing on the ground, we never see caste, region, or religion of the players, we just see one thing “India”. Cricket is one of the supreme cultures in India. People schedule their plans, activities, leaves, etc. for some good matches. From a school going child to a retired person, everyone watches cricket. In India, all types of gully crickets are played like box cricket, overarm and underarm matches including day & night schedule. All the formats of cricket including T20s, ODIs and Test matches peoples are enjoying truly.

In 1983, India won Cricket World Cup at Lord’s ground in London – the original home of the sport once called the “cathedral of cricket” after this victory Cricket game is more famous in India. It attracts a lot of sponsors as well. BCCI is the world’s wealthiest board. It will be really hard to find any vacant seats in the stadium whenever matches happen in the country. Apart from International matches, domestic tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Dulip Trophy, etc. also have a good number of supporters. After IPL (Indian Premier League), the cricket fever has gone to a totally new peak of popularity. It has changed the scenario where the sport is associated with glamour and commercial prospects.

In India, few incredibly talented legends have contributed heavily to the game by their achievements in Cricket history. These cricketers have received several awards from domestic as well as international associations. When we hear the word ‘cricket’, one name instantly comes to our mind. Yes, you guessed it right, it’s Sachin Tendulkar. If you believe cricket to be a religion, then Sachin is living God of it. Sachin Tendulkar is one of the Best Cricketers of all time. He received all the major awards, including India’s highest honour “Bharat Ratna”. Other Legends like Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar have given the game a bright name in the past. Some major innovations in the game of cricket by India players like Dhoni’s Helicopter shot, Harbhajan Singh’s Doosra, fans will never forget this. We cannot separate ourselves from cricket.

When India wins the match, everyone celebrates it like a festival especially India vs. Pakistan matches. But whenever the Indian team loses, the entire country motivates and inspires them. India vs. Pakistan matches are a war-like situation in both countries. Our countries politics is also attached to this sport.

The Love of cricket in India is an indication of progress and harmony. Many teens practice daily to become the next Sachin or Dhoni of the country. The love and passion of cricketers can only be known by individuals who have spent days practicing hard on the field. We should support them and keep them always inspired and motivated for their dream.
