Independence Day Special

  India – Are we really Independent? On 15 th  August 2020, India celebrates its 73 rd  Independence Day to salute its freedom from the British Rule in 1947. Citizens of India pay respect to freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for gaining independence from the “British Raaj”. Indian leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Lokmanya Tilak, Bhagat Singh, Sarojini Naidu, Chandrasekhar Azad, and many more took part in this freedom struggle in different periods of time. Independence Day in India marks the partition of India and Pakistan. India is a diverse country with different religions, castes and cultures. Yet Independence unites us all as “Indians”.
